There is a need to conserve and rebuild our fantastic water resources and sport fishery for the future due to several problems.

1)Poor Conditions of our streams
2)Water Pollution
3)Limited Hatchery Facilities
4)Limited Natural Reproduction

The G.H.O.C. runs one day derbies to help preserve our water resources and for the Grimsby Big Brothers/Sisters. We are also involved in the stocking of Hamilton Harbour with Bay of Quinte Walleye and in the future hatchery raised Walleye, which we will have to purchase.
